If you sell a product or service, holidays or specific landmarks coming up on the calendar in the near future can be used as the perfect marketing persuasion for a blog post. The Christmas/Hanukkah holiday season alone can serve to create a number of blog posts for e-commerce sites. Starting a few weeks before the Black Friday boom you can begin taking advantage and can continue along this vein with at least a post per week right through the start of the New Year.
It’s not just the major holidays that can make for good marketing material either, with just about every month that passes there is at least one and often multiple days that can strike a chord with readers and customers. You can offer discounts to military personnel for Veteran’s Day, talk about company initiatives for becoming greener for Earth Day or have special back to school offers. There are viable sources for content everywhere you look, don’t be afraid to look for your next great post in places other than industry news feeds.
